It has been 2 years since our project began. at the begining it was just an idea but after investigating and living the "public market expirience" we got engage with the idea.
ASOMP objectives are to save BARRANQUILLA COLOMBIA PUBLICS MARKET. it all started with a science fair at our school, ALTAMIRA INTERNATIONAL, but the passion for this project grew with it. i hope you could visit our page and comment.

I'm promoting the developtment of public market and recovering of public spaces already invaded by street vendors in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia Southamerica. The city was declare by UNESCO historical and cultural patrimony of humanity in 1984 and represent one of the most popular destination for tourist in the southern Caribbean. Please, be welcome to learn and visit our city. The only risk is wanting to stay

Received this in the Markets inbox:

I'm looking for a site for our state market association board to conduct business. It's difficult to get everyone together for a conference call and I'm hoping we can find a web site that will both notify us by email when a discussion is underway and allow us to join the discussion as time permits. Any suggestions? Naturally, it would need to be a free service.

You are free to use this social network to set up your own group for a markets association in order to facilitate discussions and planning! It does not, however, have conference call capability.

I first got interested in markets when I took two trips to Morroco and South America (Ecuador,Peru, and Bolivia) while in college back around 1970. I was so taken by the experience that even today I can almost remember every moment of being in a Souk in Morroco, or an Indian Market on the high plains in Eucador. I always go to markets in every place I visit. I think in our new economic climate that markets could be a major force in re-alining ourselves around our core communities. In really hard times we can go back to a local market culture that can thrive off of local assets and entrepreneurship.
