I'm working witha group called Capital B in Bushwick, Brooklyn - we're a group of artists + community organizations - and we're looking at how we can work cooperatively in the neighborhood. So its not quite a direct application, but certainly there are a lot of elements in what we are discussing that mesh well with what we discussed this spring. I'm also talking with a couple people who are heavily engaged in rooftop farming about expanding their current operations -- we'd like to see Bushwick become a major vegetable producer for the NYC greenmarkets --

Hi all,
Interest to know if anyone has taken on the lessons from the course 'back home'? It's taken a while but I'm finally working with a local group of 'zealous' businesspeople to develop placemaking workshops with wider outreach to professionals, the public and policymakers in a central area of Belfast. I'd like to organise students and local artists to help run some workshops, observe and do surveys, document local buildings and spaces and make films of the area but would definitely be interested in any other experience out there, good advice, warnings on pitfalls.... saul
